Georgina Southwood
Owner/Occupational Therapist
Georgie graduated from the University of South Australia in 1998 and began her career in in the Port Augusta Childrens Health team. After a short time she moved to the Yorke Peninsula working at Southern Yorke Peninsula Health Service at Minlaton. During this role she gained experience in all aspects of a rural Occupational Therapy Practise as an autonomous practitioner. After three years Georgie gained the role as Senior Occupational Therapist at Wallaroo for Northern Yorke Peninsula Health Service, managing a young and dynamic team. During her extensive career spanning over 17 years in the public health arena Georgie gained skills across numerous practise areas including Paediatrics, Hand Therapy, Domiciliary Care, Disability, Aged Care Assessment Team, DVA, Rehabilitation, Leadership & Management and Project Management. This then lead to the move into Private Practise in 2015, after having her three children. She needed a change in work role that was going to be flexible around family life, and now with her children growing older, and after 6 years experience working under YPOT, the practise expanded in 2021 employing another OT Halie Snodgrass, to assist with the growing demand and work load. Georgie's main areas of interest lies within the NDIS and aged care sector providing comprehensive and wholistic assessment, treatment and recommendations to give greater independence and maximise function in daily living.
Halie Snodgrass 
Occupational Therapist
Halie is an AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist, who lives in Kadina on the Yorke Peninsula. Halie graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) in 2010. Halie begun her career in the public health sector in 2011, working for Yorke and Northern Local Health Network as a rural generalist Occupational Therapist. This role enabled Halie to develop skills in areas including Domiciliary Care, DVA, Disability, Paediatrics and TCP. Halie remained within the public sector for 10 years. After having both her Children, Halie transitioned in to working alongside Georgie Southwood at YPOT in 2021. This change in workplace supported a healthy work/life balance for Halie and her family. The opportunity to work for YPOT has advanced Halie’s skills in both the disability and aged care sector. Halie is both MOCA and AMPS accredited. Halie has a passion for home safety assessments and enhancing the environment to promote independence, safety and overall wellbeing. Halie enjoys getting to know all her clients and prides herself on her ability to build rapport. Halie’s approach is always client centred with an emphasis on supporting and enabling clients to achieve their goals.
